Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Faculty Development Series

1. Demonstrate enhanced leadership and professionalism skills necessary for navigating academic medicine, including effective team management, communication across hierarchies, and role-modeling accountability in complex institutional environments.
2. Apply core principles of operational and strategic management—including budgeting, resource allocation, and workflow analysis—to improve departmental efficiency and align faculty contributions with institutional priorities.
3. Interpret and utilize emerging research methodologies, including outcomes-based study design, data analytics, and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in clinical and educational research.
4. Incorporate innovative educational strategies and technologies—such as AI-assisted content development, adaptive learning platforms, and flipped classroom teaching—to enhance learner engagement and improve knowledge retention in anesthesiology education.
5. Identify and implement strategies that promote individual and organizational well-being, including recognizing signs of burnout, fostering psychological safety, and contributing to a culture of sustainable workload, mutual support, and professional fulfillment within academic anesthesiology

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
