Overview
Each division in the Department of Medicine is assigned a number of dates for which they are responsible for inviting speakers to come and lecture on their speciality. This provides our audience with a variety of updates and new information in all specialties within the Department of Medicine.

Objectives

As a result of participating in this activity, the audience should be better able to:


  1. Enhance Clinical Decision-Making - Participants will improve their ability to apply evidence-based guidelines and diagnostic strategies to complex medical cases.
  2. Integrate Emerging Research into Practice - Participants will evaluate recent advances in medical research and understand their relevance and applicability to their clinical practice.
  3. Foster Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Participants will strengthen skills in interdisciplinary care and medical education requirements to optimize patient and learner outcomes in multidisciplinary care.

Accreditation

The UAB Heersink School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
